Mundane life and the 770 part 1
As my time for geek projects has slimmed quite a bit, I came to an interesting realization. The toy I bought (770) is being used for some very mundane tasks. That sounds boring, but is in fact very exciting. to me.
One of the first things I did when I got the 770 was to try internet radio. I do this because it tests the speaker/wifi and I have had trouble with long playing internet streams on wifi before so I thought, this would be a good excersie. BIG mistake....
My 770 is now known as "Dance Dance Dance" by my 2 year old daughter. Never again can I read email in silence! The amazing thing is the speaker is decent enough that I can play music thru it and she is happy, and I can still browse itt and email with a little peace. But no silence.....
Well a quick introduction is in order.
My name is Brian. I am an OSS developer as a profession (Go Figure!) but more importantly a true devoteee of OSS and the community it represents.
- I purchased a Nokia 770 a few months ago and have an N800 on the way.
- My mundane life lives more on my 770 than my tech life (future blog)
- If life calms down a bit I will get Maemo Traffic back on the rails.
It is not dead, just the deatils are running through my head - First hobby embedded Linux device: Agenda PDA
- Recent devices: Kurobox
- Current active developments, slim as time is very short. I have moved to more of an enabler role these days, but that needs to change.
Enough noise, now on with the show.
See you in another blog.
